Five members on Wellesley's 2008 softball squad were recently named to the NEWMAC Academic All-Conference Team. The Blue were represented by:
Alex Coari, 2008, Geneva, Illinois
Jenna Harvey, 2008, London, Ontario
Samantha Littlejohn, 2009, Dayton, New Jersey
Ilana Orloff, 2010, Weston, Massachusetts
Meghan Sullivan, 2008, Markham, Ontario
To qualify for this Conference distinction, student-athletes must earn a 3.5 GPA on a 4.0 scale or a 4.35 GPA on a 5.0 scale following the 2008 spring semester, must have achieved second year academic status at her representative institution, and must be a member of the varsity team for the entire season.
The NEWMAC is comprised of Babson College, Clark University, U.S. Coast Guard Academy, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Mount Holyoke College, Smith College, Springfield College, Wellesley College, Wheaton College, and Worcester Polytechnic Institute.
